Bought YTLPOWR-WB - 21 January 2013

After over a week of monitoring YTLPower, I have decided it is time for an entry.  I just bought YTLPOWR-WB @ 0.435 since the warrant is going at almost 0 premium against its mother share.  Furthermore, the expiry date of the warrant is still over 5 years from now, November 2018.

There has been speculation in the market that YTL Corporation may privatize YTL Power.  If this rumour becomes true, we will see a rally in the YTLPower share, and thus its warrant as well.  The yield for the warrant would be higher and the capital needed for investment required is much lower.  The only downside from investing in the warrant is that one will not be receiving any dividend.

Sold TWS - 18 January 2013

I finally sold TWS @ 9.07 yesterday but didn't manage to post the update as I had to head out and didn't return home until now.  The decision was made mainly from the uncertainty and lack of news on the privatization.  Since it is nearing my 2nd batch of purchase entry point, I decided it's time to let go.

My first TWS entry was on November 2010 @ 3.97, while second entry was on August 2011 @ 9.09.  As you can see, my gain from the first entry is about 128% while almost breakeven from my second entry price.  TWS was one of my best investment in 2011. 

Over the 2+ years of holding on to TWS, I received several dividends by TWS, about 4 times since my initial purchase.  Although the dividend yield is not high, but still the amount is quite substantial.

The hunt for TWS replacement is on-going and do share with me if you think you found a TWS replacement :)

Received Supermx Dividend - 18 January 2013

Despite the fact that I have sold off Supermx, I received a tax exempt dividend of 2 cents per share today.  This is the second dividend I received in 2013.

A good start for the year. HUAT AH !

Received Mudajaya Dividend - 11 January 2013

Received Mudajaya's 2nd interim dividend of 2.5cents today.  Hoping for more dividend in coming months.

Bought more Redtone - 7 January 2013

Just accumulated more Redtone @ 0.405 and I'm seeing stronger interest in the stock in anticipation of a better quarter release in mid January.

Sold Supermx - 7 January 2013

For the last 3 trading days, Supermx stock appreciate from 1.95 to 2.05.  Seeing the lack of growth in this stock, I have decided to dispose Supermx at a minimum loss , around 5%, and reinvest it when opportunity comes.  My average entry price is 2.15.

Bought Redtone - 3 January 2013

In all the excitement today, I almost forgot to post that I have bought Redtone @ 0.40 in the last trading hour of today, 3rd January.  Redtone has its financial improve significantly and constant major shareholders accumulation is a good sign that Redtone is poised to perform better in coming quarters.
