TWS offered to be privatize

At the end of last Friday's trading, 21 Dec, TWS trading was suspended along with two other sister company, TWS Plantation and Bernas.  Shortly after KLSE closing, TheEdge published an article that the majority shareholder of TWS, Syed Mokhtar intend to merge both sister companies into TWS.

All 3 stocks remained suspended today and the announcement only came up after trading hours of 24 Dec where a general offer of RM9.30 per share to take TWS private.  All 3 stocks will resume trading on 26 December (Wed).

Based on the announcement, I'm certain TWS stock price will jump on Wednesday morning.  My only disappointment is that the offer price fell short of what I had in mind although it is a 20% premium from the Friday's last traded price.

Nevertheless, it is still deemed as a good news to all TWS shareholders who have been hoping for a stock price appreciation.

TWS broken its RM 10 resistance and continue to surge

In the last 4 trading days, TWS is in the spotlight.  It ended at top spot in Top Gainers for 4 consecutive days without failed.  That's an amazing performance.   The stock price rise continuously from 8.04 to now 10.28, that is over 25% growth in just 4 to 5 days.  Simply spectacular I would say.

One of the group's subsidiary, TWS Plantation (TWSPLNT) has also been following TWS closely behind.  Rising from 3.15 to 3.82, over 20% growth in the last few days.  This is not a mere speculation but supported by today's released quarter earnings.   TWS Plantation reported a net profit of 48.628m, an increased of 94.96% from previous year first quarter.  That translates to 7.73 eps.  Very strong first quarter.

Usually TWS quarter earning report will follow shortly.  One can expect similar or better result for TWS.  So, let's wait the good news !

Bought TWS today - 23rd Nov 2010

Aha, double matches today.  Earlier today, I bought in on Alam.  Towards the closing of KLSE market, I managed to get TWS @ 3.97.

Why TWS ?

For the past 2 quarter earnings, TWS reported a 600% increased profits.  In addition to that, just few days back, TWS Plantation reported equal increases in profits for this quarter.  Since TWS has a substantial stake in TWSPLNT, my prediction is that TWS will report an equivalent profit for this quarter in next few days.  Based on FA, the PE for TWS is somewhere around 5 or even lower if TWS continue to report superb quarter earnings.  Hence, there's plenty of room for TWS stock price continue to climb.

The only downside is its low trading volume.  This is probably due to its low floating shares.
